Is anyone on the forum shooting a Brno Effect single shot break action rifle, 308/30-06 or otherwise?

Yes. I’m shooting an Effect in .380.
Beautiful little gun. But horrible trigger, on mine at least.

Ah well, better late than never. I have a .308 break action PPK which I am sure is a forerunner to the Effect

Duh, yes of course I meant .308, not 380. Late night finger fumble..
As I said, lovely gun, beautifully made, but I’m struggling for accuracy with a trigger pull well over 10lbs, and a set trigger that I can barely breathe on without release. Well beyond the limits at either end of the scale of a pull gauge anyway.
Wondering if this is common to this model and if not how difficult it would be to get adjusted. There appears to be no available documentation on it, presumably because they sold so few.
