#1 Post by zzr1100 »

just a question ... does anyone know if the police use FMJ ammo or expanding ? Or do they have the choice based on the situation ?
I would imagine its the latter ...

I was gonna say for shooting rhinos escaped from zoo's or safari parks, but my boss came in and distracted me! Doh!

I believe the police use expanding ammo, one of my friends seems a bit put out by the fact the police force use expanding ammo whereas its disallowed from conflict in most cases....

like it makes that much difference when ur getting hit by it!

Rumour has it Bedfordshire had loads of problems stopping dogs. They would head out to a drugs bust and the dealer would slip a huge dog out to terrorise the drugs squad whilst the evidence was being disposed of. So they took to shooting them. Anyway apparently they had to shoot one dog a few times and it was still going crazy so these days they use 12g slug.

Not sure how true this is, it came from firearms chap who was dating a friend.
