I've never attended an ASAA course so I can't tell you anything about them. But I'd personally recommend Magpul Dynamics and the U.S. Training Center (run by Xe, previously known as Blackwater). Those guys know their stuff inside and out, they will push you hard, and they don't waste your time - they know you don't pay two or three hundred dollars a day to 'practice', you pay it to learn new things so you can go away and practice yourself.

I'd recommend getting a hunting license (the form asks for your social security number but your passport number with a note in the margin should be sufficient in lieu of this - I'd email first just to check though, if not you can always get one from another state). This will allow you to buy guns and make your possession of a gun legal. It is unlikely that those running the course would actually not let you rent a gun, but technically it is illegal for a nonimmigrant alien to even touch a gun. Another option is to get a permit from the ATF to bring your own gun into the country temporarily for sporting/hunting purposes.* Since Arizona is a no-permit-required state, if you get a hunting license you can buy a handgun and carry it legally

*If for sporting purpose, you will need an invitation to a competitive sporting event so find a match somewhere that week and email for an invite. If for hunting purpose you will need a hunting license (but don't actually have to go hunt, nor are you restricted to using your weapon for hunting).

google chuck taylor, he teaches these guys, what he don't know isn't worth knowing, he is one of the three original guru's not a security consultant.

He's real deal, combat experience, confirmed kills (many) black and spec ops etc etc.. police experience etc etc etc.

No bull droppings, only quality training that works.
