So there's a resurgence in interest on TV and other areas over the murder of this lady.
My question is can someone explain "staple crimp case" I hear was the 9mm case found...I have never got to the bottom of it,is it simply another name for taper or roll crimp or have I missed something alltogether?

As I understand it, the particular crimping on the case was typical of that used in The Balkans.
They took 9mm ammo - removed the projectile, removed a percentage of the powder and then reinserted the projectile. They then used ( usually at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o clock ) a hammer and small screwdriver tip and created a dimple to help keep the projectile in place. And a possible way to increase pressure and assist cycling, despite the reduced powder charge ?
This was apparently used by individuals who need subsonic 9mm ammo but had no access to it. Apparently it was a "field expedient" method originating in their military ?

That sounds like something that should have clued them in to where our killer came from. As much as the lead detective denies it dragging George in was arrest the local nutter, and see it s conviction happens.
