Which .223 and .308 straight pull rifle?

I had my home visit last week for my FAC and my FEO didn't seem to think my request for a .223 and .308 for target shooting would be a problem, I am however at a loss at which rifle to buy so I'd appreciate some help.
Truth be told I'd probably be content with just having a nice AR-10 platform .308 as opposed to both but I'm struggling to find one and I know .223s are a lot more popular hence why I asked for the slot. I know Lantac do a nice .223 straight pull but there are so many options to choose in terms of style, barrel length, muzzle break etc., that I can't make my mind up for fear of making the wrong choice!
Buying my first rifle reminds me of buying my first car, you don't want to spend loads because you'll probably bump it but at the same time you want something to keep you entertained for a while.
Any help would be appreciated,

.

How about one of these if you want an AR10 platform,

I know a couple of shooters have have the early imported one's and say they are great, I have shot the .223 caliber one against my SGC AR15 both as good as each other. I did want the .308 version, but at the time had stopped being imported. Only down side is a 18.5" barrel.

If those AR10s are as good as the originals then I'd go for one.
There's always the M1/ M1A/ M14 variants to consider. AR15's you pays your money and takes your choice.
Proud owner of 1.5 AR15s & an M14 straight pulls.

Sadly M14's no longer made for the UK market by LDT you may find a second hand one if your lucky. M1 is of course .30-06 not .308

LMT (Lewis Machine and Tool Company) do a 308 win/7.62 x 51 with a 161/2" Barrel available through NW Custom parts, I have two LMT'S with one of them using a 6.5 creedmoor 24" 1 in 7 twist and it is a tact driver I hit targets out 1450 yards at Tiffs place ( Roundhouse Firearms Bodmin moor) they are worth a look but cost @ £3200 plus you can swap between 308/6.5 creedmoor in a couple of minutes

And it's a straight pull
