I was in Fultons on Sunday, and having read this story, took a close look at the old .36 revolvers in the cabinets - It struck me that that was a hell of a shot at 75 yrds.

He must have practiced at distances over 50 yrs - and I wonder if he used factory ammo or loaded his own?...and to what degree did the gunfighters back then understand the importance of quality ammo...?

What a Twonk - So BP!

So a question, as I know little about BP: How long would you want to leave a BP pistol loaded for - with respect to the caps or powder getting damp, or any other reason that could affect reliability? Would his pistol still be loaded from the night before - or do you think he re-loaded it, to be sure, before he went out into the square?
