I just wanted to know the reason why not to use them. I have a lot of them!! So would be good if they can be used, but If not hey ho. I am certainly not going to try it just for the fun of it!

Well I have decided CCI 209 primers are not ideal for this revolver! Anyone care to suggest some others that I can try?

We have an Alfa 6" only used it a couple of times so maybe 100 shots fired. Alan Westlake when we bought it new said only use Cheddite CX50 209's & we have not had one issue. We also use the round nose 148gr bullets he sells. (one or two have been slightly over sized but still fitted in the cylinder)

Thanks will have a look at those. The CCI 209 magnums fit perfectly and seem to dry cycle fine but as there is no guidance on them I am not going to use them.
Thus I bought 5 packs of standard 209s.... and they don't work. LOL.
