Ooh, we used to have one of those as a second car, they are incredibly well thought out and tough as old nails most of the time.

I remember these well from my childhood.

You really should get the 4x4 conversion done on it! :good:

My mates dad, a devout Citroen driver got invited by Citroen to an airfield in the 1970's to take part in a competition regarding these 'orrible things :D
There was a pallet of Champaign on the runway alongside a 2CV fitted with a roll cage and bucket seat.
The aim was to roll the 2CV over and the first to do it got the bubbly.
Lots of things were tried including full lock at full speed lol but no one could get the b@stard over!
The trick was to put it in reverse, drive flat out and gradually increase the lock and over she goes lol lol lol
I suggest we all come round yours and try it in Tesco's car park, I'll bring a 4 pack of French p*** down as a prize :D

Four of us tried to roll ours when stationary whilst on the hill dropping down into Matlock whilst in a traffic jam. The chap behind eventually got out and told us he thought we had picked a wheel up at one point however could we stop now as his wife had laughed so much she had wet herself.

Even as a 2 wheel drive they are very capable off road and so many innovations such as the two gears you use most in town are opposite each other, air cooled and ours was magneto ignition from memory.

I had a Diane in my youth.

4 screws and 2 split spins and all the doors came off. Instant beach buggy shakeshout

Fab off road but unfortunately not quite strong enough when I bent the chassis crossing a ditch in the middle of Wales.
Friends still insist it went round bends on 2 wheels.

Lovely cars. Peak 2cv are in a workshop over from my mate in Wirksworth so I get to see them in all states of assembly!

I seem to recall it came off and legs dropped down to make a picnic table.
