DSCN5478 M4 2.46 2.48 2.jpg
Last Thursday, almost flat calm, mist held us up for half an hour, with a threat of thunder.
Three 5-shot groups at 600yds, the first two using RS52, and the third, RS60
2.46= 38.0grains RS52, then dialled two minutes right
2.48= 38.3 grains RS52 (1 flyer), and last, dialled two minutes down
2.60= 40.1 grains RS60

2.48 hits the spot with 4 shots in <1/2 MOA. MV's all in the region of 2900fps.

Rifle is a Savage F/TR re-barrelled in 6.5 with a 28" Bergara 8 twist s/steel straight taper.
Bullets were 136 grain Scenar "L", Lapua brass, KVB 223-M primers, COL 69.5mm.

Much more fun with the electronics than mucking about on Short Siberia................ :run:

Good shooting Pete! I shot my 6.5x47 Lapua today as well, but only at 100m. My 123gr bullet load is also 40.0gr of RS60 and that gets me an average velocity of 2,970 fps.

I already use RS52 in 6BR, 308, and 223.........looks like it'll be fine for 6.5x47 as well.
