Well i took some time yesterday and did some more work on the hammer. I was getting the odd occasion when the slide wasn't fully cocking the hammer on recoil. So a bit of filing and now it's cocking about 5mm before it picks up a new round.
Bit of a stone and oil and a good clean.

Does anyone else remove their firing pin block assy??

Can't wait to get down the range and empty some .22 boxesImage

I've never had reason to remove mine, but I did look into it when I was contemplating changing the slide. It seemed pretty straightforward in the YouTube video I watched?

yeah I took mine out, the pin won't go back in without a bit of a file, but other than that, nice and simple.

I had some grit in the hammer channel i needed to clean out. only thing I'd say is check you have the hammer spring seated right. bit of a wiggle is needed to get it seated back right. hammer will still move if it isn't, but it sort of clicks in and out, not sliding
