Hi all.

Sound like to fill a 308 slot with something I can shoot out to 500 yards and I saw a savage model 10fp in 308 for £370 including shipping to my RFD.

Does anyone have any opinions on this rifle? They seem to be popular with the Americans for $1000 1000 yard rifle setups.

I have had its predecessor, the 110FP (albeit in .223) since the 1980s. Mine is a 1 in 9 twist, and I have shot it in competitions too 800m and beyond.

They, like all Savages, are accurate to a degree well in excess of what one might expect considering their price point. For the price you really cannot go wrong.

I'm another Savage fan, greatly under appreciated rifles in this country. I have a 6br and a 6.5-284.

We have a mod 12 F/TR, with 6BR and 308 barrels, now re-stocked with a Form Crusader mk 2, and currently wearing a 6.5x47 Bergara barrel................cracking rifles.
Easily replaceable bolt-head, simple trigger, user interchangeable barrels etc. and very accurate.......what's not to like? (apart from the rubbish Savage stock............)
