I'm considering getting my Remington 700 .308 barrel threaded, this will be my first centrefire mod.
What thread pitch and moderator is recommended?
Target shooting only so weight/length is not a problem.
Thanks

That rather depends on the profile of the barrel and the choice of moderator, find one you like and ask your RFD/Gunsmith to thread accordingly.

Well i use m18x1 and am probably biased towards ASE Utra mods ,you could use either a jet-Z COMPACT or a S Series SL5i both durable and very efficient end of barrel designs and people are always amazed at how quiet they are on my various rifles .223 through to 300 win mag.

Most Remington 700’s are 5/8"-18UNF if I remember. M18x1 also very popular. Have you picked someone to do the work? I’d be asking them.
