A mate in the US has several of these, so we took them out for a day at the range.
I must say they were more accurate than I expected (especially with my eyesight & irons...) & kept everything inside 3" at 100 yds using my handloads (40.5gr of IMR4895) & not too shabby with some 1960's OFV surplus - I reload the OFV brass too!

Fine rifles, shame about the calibre being so boring I would shoot mine more if it wasn't in 7.62, I have a PH 5A rear aperture sight on my L2A1 and they do shoot very well.
There is a certain snobbery in some parts against Indian made rifles which usually makes them cheaper than UK Enfields, long live snobbery.

Did the Indian factory not have British management for a long time?

Dromia,
How do you rate the Indian made number 4 mark 2 in 303?, someone at the club has one for sale at £450

Only experience I have of POF is a batch of their copy of G3 that I unpacked - 30% were returned as the picatinny rail was nowhere near level or straight !

I have had a Wah POF through my hands recently, never got it verified as new No 4 barreled action made on the old Shirley machinery. Parts had different makers stamps. Regardless it was a good shooting gun. So if it is one of these then it should be a sound buy if in good condition, it will most likely have the "Ishy" screw and don't expect exquisite finish.
