What is the validity of Zombie related forums and posts?

If we entered a time of Civil Unrest/Armageddon/Zombie Attacking, what would we do?

What is the validity of Zombie related forums and posts?

#1 Post by ColinR »

At this time when all shooters must be vigilant and show that they are sensible individuals using firearms purely for sport I find all mention of zombies in connection with gun ownership to be stupid and open to intelligent question.

What has zombie shooting and zombie specific firearms got to do with the serious sport of target or game shooting? It hardly makes us appear to be serious minded sensible folk in the eyes of a wider public and authority. I personally would like to see all reference to Zombies, what does 'Zombie Aware' mean, removed from this site.

Feck me, who called the Fun Police?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

So you believe the possibility of a Zombie Outbreak is something serious shooters should plan for? Why not Aliens or little pink piggies floating down from the sky? We are supposed to be serious shooters not characters from a horror comic. Fun it might be for you, but do you really think those that oppose us will think the same?

Why are we supposed to be serious? Can't we have a laugh and a joke as we safely enjoy our sport?

What is it with people always wanting to ban whatever it is that they don't personally enjoy.

Live and let live I say (well, maybe that's not appropriate for zombies!).

For the record I have no "Zombie" items and no interest in zombies apart from occasionally watching the Walking Dead, but more power to those that do, everyone needs a hobby.

You have a valid point ColinR :good:

Zombie Outbreak is something serious shooters should plan for ? Why not Aliens

Accurate guns are needed to guarranty "head-shots" , read "brain", in the case of zombies, whereas any old shotgun will do for hitting Aliens in vital mass zone, except those peksy Aliens that bleed acid of course ... You see there is more to it that meet the eyes, hence the need for serious discussions ...
Little pink piggies floating down from the sky ? Not sure, but, I 'll ask my mate Mohamed what he thinks is the best way to deal with that eventuallity and will come straight back to you ;) ....
Want to shoot pistol ? Don't retreat... reload & run forward !!

Fine if not connected with firearms ownership. If you want to live in a Fantasy world then leave your guns at home.

As to being serious, is flippant a good quality for a firearms owner?

Tell me more about these pink piggies that are floating about.
17 HMR probably good for those if they're not too big and are relatively slow.
Heres a new fear....Zombie pigs that float silently from above and rip your neck out wtf
