A question to those that cast there own heads, I have some copper washed .22 that need to be pulled and I wondered if they would be suitable to be melted down to re cast?

Cast there own HEADS.? Don't you mean bullets. I have never cast a head but I have cast thousands of bullets.

Cut the guy some slack; it's a confusion that's come about because a lot of dealers state on their websites 'bullet heads'.
Newcomers to reloading see it on the likes of professional dealers' sites and figure they must know what they're talking about, they're dealers after all.

I don't like the expression 'boolits' but some peeps insist on using it.

Just because these companies are ignorant or choose to do the wrong thing for their own convenience doesn't make it right or it doesn't mean that other people have to follow their folly. It can cause potentially dangerous confusion especially with new hand loaders

True - but it doesn't help any to make a newcomer feel small and put them off asking questions.

I do not think that is any ones intention, surely it best to try and point out fundamental errors rather than encourage the mistake.

I have to admit that I hate the term heads instead of bullets, but whenever the chance to explain to people the correct name I'm accused of nitpicking, In a way the Australian shooters have got over this by calling them Projectiles.

They are not heads or projectiles they are BULLETS. Lead or jacketed they are bullets.
The head is the base of the case.
