That seems a decent turn around, my FEO visit is still booked for this Monday, so hopefully I will have mine by the end of Feb which would make for about a 5 month turn around

Good luck for Monday.

Thanks, I think the important thing is to be able to offer them, showing hospitality etc.

I am starting to count down the hours as it is now 23.5 to go.

Had the visit, and the next wait begins, as due to the depression it has to be examined by the public safety committee (or something like that).
Otherwise FEO was happy, allowed him to talk down the number of firearms (or weapons has he kept calling them) as I don't know when/if will end up shooting muzzle loading pistol as I haven't actually tried one.
Stood up for what I wanted when he started off by trying to reduce the number of .22 from 2 to 1 and have kept the 2 on there, so over all happy with the visit.

The public safety what? 4 years ago my wife declared medication which can be used for depression and he simply asked that she signed a form allowing them to contact her doc. A quick communication later and she had her licence.

They have the letter from the doctor, he even had a copy with him yesterday.

He said he was happy with security and good reason, but there would be a further delay due to it needing to be looked at the DI level by the public safety something which I think was committee.

As no news since the visit a month ago I called up today and was informed that the application was only passed up the chain last week (12th), but the senior officer it was passed to was in and the lady I spoke to on the phone would chase it up with him.

She felt that it should be OK and I am likely to hear in the next week or so.

Fingers crossed for some movement.
