Cleaning the Xtrema2

Started to cycle erroneously...you know, last round hold open failure etc

Amazing how much crap can build up in the gas cylinder.

Found an elastic O ring in there too. I bought a replacement piston last year, complete with piston ring and O ring.

Spent a good hour cleaning the crud that had mounted up in the wee holes around the inside of the cylinder and of course the ports into the barrel. Darning needle came in handy! 008 and Forrest bore cleaning foam did the trick and a gentle scraping and air hose.

Did the trigger group...carefully blasted the oil and dirt that had crept in.

Every now and again it's going to get the strip down clean but I'll pay more attention to the cylinder etc on the after shoot clean.

The tip I got off someone on here or was it GT about using the plactic scouring pad does the bore a treat and the choke gets done each time.

Fabulous gun!

:D

There were a few knew birds I had to get used to, but for some reason I was shoite on the Driven...and I normally blast those into fragments...don't think I was following thru...usual hang up of mine.

Met the Gwent FLO in clubhouse...sensible bloke and shooter which helps, instructor at the range also. Had to put a sign up 'cos some idiot was waving around an air pistol the other week in the clubhouse...there is always one!

New partner Steve Kilbey really getting into it...great partnership with Andrew Groombridge.

Been nagging them to get some scooters in for the disabled wrecks like me.

:D

Never! Now I know how to clean it...nothing better.

But I'm thinking maybe a 26" is the way to go...Better for pigeon shooting from hides?

well a 26 would be better than a 34 in a pigeon hide, mines a 28 fac 12 shot 12g,the record is 6 crows in one flying flock! i use mine for ocaisional clays, crows pigeons, and practical shotgun, its lighter fully loaded than ure beretta is empty!!!! and never jams.
