5.56 ammunition availability in the North

I'm after some 5.56 for saturday, I'd prefer 62gr or heavier but 55g is fine. I'm looking for plinking ammo so when I spoke to ammo-zone (who couldn't of been more helpful) the cost by the time I shipped it up to Yorkshire would make rounds quite expensive for 5.56 (raw cost was about 38p per bang of FN surplus). I've not got a huge allowance on my FAC so doing a bulk order wouldn't be possible at the moment.

Does anyone know of a source near Leeds (I'm north west of leeds) (shop or RFD) where I can get some before saturday. I'll be driving up from Leeds to Catterick so heading to the A1 by Weatherby/ knaresborough way saturday morning. Alternatively if anyone has any to get rid of I'd be interested in that.

Barbican Armoury they are on the outskirts of Durham at Brancepeth Castle. They have a web site with a contact number.
Have you tried Adam (Dromia) might be worth sending him a pm. He also lives near Durham.

Don't know about 5.56 but there was plenty .223 last time I was in Bob Dunkleys at Elwick to the west of Hartlepool

Thanks folks, Kranks just have privy unfortuantely, they said they didn't do surplus stuff anymore.

I think York Guns, might be my best bet. It's a bit of a detour but is doable. I'll keep digging but thanks for your suggestions.
