I'm in need of a new flat cap in a greeny tweed colour and need a shop where I can try some on as I'm a bit particular when it comes to the feel of a hat
I thought there might be a few at the Northern shooting show but I didnt see any.
So any recommendations in west yorks or surrounding areas would be of interest.

Are flat cap designs and patterns regional? I came up from Bedfordshire to Lincolnshire with a dark browny green Harris Tweed cap and noticed that everyone wears a predominantly light green cap of a finer material around here. The few shops I have been into only seem to stop the lighter versions around here.

tweed as a material was in part designed as camoflage, therefore it is reasonable to expect regional variations in line with the local vegetation colours.

Look for an Edinburgh Woollen Mill - they do Harris tweed caps.
