It's for a Winchester 94 AE, in .357 with a Leupold scope.

do you need a laser boresighter? the old fashioned "bore sight,shoot,adjust" method has served well for centuries, and no chance of leaving a boresighter in the barrel!

Bore sighting is a bit of a bugger with an underlever.

Is it possible to remove the bolt from the Winchester without requiring significant disassembly? I can bore sight my Marlin by removing the lever followed by the bolt, a fairly simple process because it's only one screw.

point taken

there are ways and means though (I use a collimator, hard to leave that bugger on the end and take a shot

)

Hmmm... I may need to rethink this...
The idea was to ensure I don't waste too much ammo zeroing in a new scope!

Wondered if your local RFD is a friendly sort? Often is if you've put the shillings his way in the past! He might have a collimator.....

Do you have access to various ranges? If so set the target up at 15yds you can eyeball the rifle in at that range, a couple of rounds should get you into the centre then move back to 25 yards and zero, from there 50 and 100 yards should be no more than 2 rounds each to zero so in all 6-10 rounds not the end of the world with a pistol calibre. Especially when you see how quick a box of 50 can evaporate when you are enjoying yourself

I have never used a boresighter with a lever action...but...if you have "see through rings", you can sight almost over top of the barrel....otherwise get a frame with a large sheet of paper...black cross in centre set up at 20 yards or so....should not take more than 10 rounds to find the spot. Ballistic charts will give you elevation for 50/100 yards.
Remember to centre the adjusters on the scope before you start.
