Indeed......fabulous.

Staggering that they've never been published before, you would think that there would be no unseen colour photos left given their rareity!

Some interesting details in some of these, from a geeky point of view. The one taken in Greece of the squaddies was clearly a staged photo wearing unadorned uniforms in 'walking out' order with no webbing belt and gaitors. The nice new pressed uniforms without insignia (for security) were no doubt worn for the photo and then probably taken back by the photography team lol

Nice to see the faded denim one-piece tanks suits being worn by the Sherman crew in Italy, only ever colour shot of that rare uniform item I've ever seen :good:

The Paras on training jump is very interesting from the variations in kit being worn for a jump.

The one that stands out for me though, is that one of the Admiral Hipper docked at Kiel at the end of the war!!

I know a lot on here don't use Facebook but there is an excellent page on there call "WW2 colourised photos"....the photos are amazing and are really brought to life.

There is also a sister page called "the forgotten Korean War in color" that has some amazing colourised photos.

And, apparently, a somewhat dirtier story behind that.
