I know the 22 Bench rest guys use barrel tuners, has anyone tried them on F Class rifles and if so how much difference did it make? Also are they legal for F/TR and/or FO?

Sorry Spud, but there is no restriction on Barrel tuners in F Class, see
F2.10. Barrel extensions of any length may be fitted to mount a foresight or act as counterweight, but will be weighed as part of the rifle and will conform to all safety requirements of the host country.
its Muzzle brakes and moderators that are not permitted, saying that I have never seen one on an F Clss rifle
Cheers

Thanks for the update Mik, so....
Anyone know anything about barrel tuners, I was thinking about trying one at some point.

Goal is to match barrel resonance with ammunition characteristics. If you hand load, it is easier to tune the load to your barrel than your barrel to your load.
Rimfire shooters don't typically hand load, so a barrel tuner makes sense, for F class it does not.

I like that reply, I was wondering for a moment if there was yet another factor we had to start thinking about, hopefully not,
Anyway, cosmetically I hate them,

Nooo far from it

I like your rifle and the inverted block at the front end set me thinking. It is always difficult to know when to stop with load development, especially if you are running one of the hotter loads for F Open so if a tuner could do the last little bit then all well and good.
Have you seen much of an improvement with yours fitted?
