Good day all,
a local (kent) auction house, is selling on a number of deactivated firearms and other military items. May be of interest to some members

Those prices are designed to bring in the punters. A quick search shows an SS visor should be in the region of £14,000 not £150-£200.
It's a shame the museums don't have deeper pockets.

Some very interesting gear but I can see them making much more than those estimates.

Except the bit that says 'deactivated to current specifications' which means its either welded up quite a bit, if 'current' means post-95 spec or massively if 'current' means post-2016 EU stuff, which it may be, to be able to auction...?
Which is what I reckon they are done to would explain the 700 quid estimate, even for a real Stg44.
A pre-95 spec Stg44 would be in serious high 4 digit figures but wouldn't now be able to be sold......(I think, but have those EU deact rules become legislation in UK or not?)
Even an old post-95 spec, but pre-16 welded up deact Stg44 wouldn't be into 4 figures.

The MG34 on the tripod will probably fetch much more than the estimate as well......

All the estimates in the catalogue seem stupidly low.

The 2nd link with the German uniforms and kit is all definitely silly low estimates.....most of the stuff on those 4 pages is at least a 10th of what the stuff is worth...minimum.
I mean, 80-120 quid for a Waffen SS dot camo suit.....!
I'm assuming its original, but it could be a distressed repro, and they are vague in the description to say the least, so maybe why the estimate is so low, but if that is an original, that worth north of £5k....anything less and the buyer has a massive bargain.
Most of visor caps are four figure value these days.

From some of the decriptions, I very much doubt the auction house has any solid knowledge of what they'r offering, let alone is able to assess what is real & what is fake .
