Morning all,

I saw this somewhere in the forum but I cannot remember where. I am not sure about the legallity of getting the primer powder imported yourself, so I would recommend you don't just ask them to post it to you or you could find yourself in trouble.

Looks fiddly but if ammo is hard to get or too expensive then I guess its an option.

The question that has to be asked (and is asked whenever this topic comes up) is why?

Accuracy? You're unlikely to better the match ammo available
Cost? .22LR ammo is still cheap, despite the self-defeating panic from our cousins overseas
Availability? You can get it literally everywhere
Different loads? Hollow point, solid, HV, subs...it's all available off the shelf

I can't think of many things I'd rather do less than reloading rimfire....and I shoot hundreds of the buggers every week :)

I did watch a video about this - you can buy a kit to do it. The results were not impressive to say the least. In a survival situation it might be worth looking at but there is no other good reason.
He had missfres and a few that didn't make it out of the barrel.

.22 Hornet would be a more sensible & cost effective option, than reloading .22lr cases.

Always liked the idea of swaging .22lr cases into .224 jackets...

Not sure about the reloading of .22lr, too much effort, not enough reward.
