This is ridiculous, whilst I appreciate the guy is a victim of his own stupidity and has lost most of a finger as a result the fact remains that he was in possession of an illegally held firearm which turned out to be stolen from a law abiding shooter. A 16 week suspended sentence hardly confirms that the Courts are getting tough on Gun crime.

This whole story is a bit disconcerting...
Frankly it worries me that feckwits like that can gain access to a firearm.

The guy was a security guard,with an illegaly held shotgun,he so say found it in s hedge,how long or wat he had it for is anyones guess,he got 16week suspended,for having it! .................I strongly urge all reading this to check out the jermey vine show from yesterday on the subject,its on i player,there was a ex copper who had leaped at this opportunity to voice his anti gun message! bann all guns was his stance,and we had no one to answer back,listen and be angered............

Jeremy Vine is a reatrd like the gy with the shotgun, as usual the law abiding who make a mistake get fcked more than morons like this...Hope his lawyer finds out the hard way about guns in the wrong hands.....even Corrie had an anti gun mesage a few days ago, some gay wearing a Tshirt with three pistols (knotted barrels) used by the anti gun criminals.
