New brass preparation?

What is the procedure for preparing new brass before reloading? I am probably going to have to buy new 44 mag brass for the Marlin when it arrives. Can I just de-burr the flash hole and reload or does it need sized etc?

Personally, when ever I get new brass, I always full length resize and check the OAL.

Using Lapua brass in .308 I never bother to FLS, instead I run a size mandrel through the neck and then neck size back again however it is for an AI with a 7,62x51 chamber that is probably at the upper limit. The AI seems to be able to swallow any .308 case regardless of what it was fired in.

Not really a fair comparison with GR/Pistol calibres :D
