Short and sweet - my 12" AR

I had this Bradley Arms .223 cut down to 12" for use as a dedicated "Urban Contact Match" rifle - UCM is shot at 100, 75, 50 and 25 yards.

But it was surprisingly good at 300 yards prone while being very handy when shooting standing / sitting / kneeling in the 100 - 300 yards matches so I decided to stick one of my bipods on it.

To keep the weight down, I adapted ( Well, Mark Bradley did the adapting to my specification ) an aluminium picatinny rail spigot for permanent fixing on the top rail.

The next match is a 500 - 100 yard job with a mixture of prone and standing / kneeling / sitting so will be a good all round test of this rifle - looking forward to seeing how the 12" barrel copes at 500 yards.

I have a slot waiting for such a rifle! - I really like the short barrel and moderator set up.
I will be very interested to hear how it does at the longer distances.
Thanks for posting this.

Sorry Brian, I really don't care how it copes with 500m.....

It's bloody gorgeous!!!! (I wouldn't care if Rachel Riley couldn't change a tyre either...)

But, you got nothing better looking to mountvthst scope with?

Have to agree re Rachel - as has been quoted on 8 out of 10 cats.......I would crawl on my hands and knees over 10 miles of broken glass just to hear her fart through a walkie talkie.

Mounts are fine - decent quality and give me just the right height. 35mm tube so not so many to choose from / available !

Mmm, sanitised version of the quote I heard :p

I'm with the others... stunning rifle. Had seen a Bradley arms in .223 up for sale a couple months ago and just missed out on it, was gutted but you've given me some inspiration again with that cracker.
