I have loaded 20 rounds for my Sweedish mauser. Gonna give it a try to morrow if all goes well.
140Grain jacketed bullit
43.4grains of N160

Any body else load for this round I would be interested to here from any body with any loads that work in the swedish mauser.

Have you tried N165 and 142 SMK's?

It's probably got an oversize bore (most Military Swedes do) and needs a bullet that will fit the bore. Easy if you cast for it but not so easy if buying bullets off the shelf.

The 142's seem to go well in Military Swedish Mausers, did I imagine it or did SMK have a 146 grain bullet in 6.5 once upon a time?

It was 156 grs but with a low ballistic coefficient the sierra to use for 6.5 is the 142.By the way my brother rifle does shoot
cast .268 diametre wery well so cast bullets could be tried with succes.
The other option is rebarreling Lothar Walter stocks barrels for the model 96,they do shoot well.
Sincerely
Filippo

You could be right. I have a mould I will cast a few pills and see how it goes.
But its the sight thing again isnt it the mauser sight is calibrated for fmj not cast.
A whole load of work to work out the new settings.
I guess I better slug the bore.

A new front sight blade solves a LOT of problems
