These people sell a strain gauge system that can measure chamber pressures as an aid to load development. They are quite pricey but I found the article interesting. So snake oil or something worthwhile to some? Anyone know of this product or similar.

I like the idea of that. Especially if into wildcats or taking established cartridges beyond their originally designed capabilities. Heck, just for the interest sake, it's a great gadget to have!
Believe it or not, I was quite surprised by the price. With a few mates together who share the same passion, it's really quite reasonable for the data it feeds back......
Definitely an extravaance if getting one for yourself, but, for the cost of a mid range quality scope........

This is exactly what I was thinking Sim, outlay for one person is high but shared amongst a 'syndicate' of fellow shooters it could work out very well. The good news is no matter how much I look at it I cannot see any way to shoot it whilst I am using it
I would like to know a bit more about it but right now if I could find some like minded people I would be very tempted at some point.
