I have done some milling on my Myford but I have allot of extras with it. A must is the vertical slide it makes it very easy to mill with I also have a milling spindle attachment so I can mill while holding work in the chuck and use the lathe as a dividing head. What did you get? Have fun with it anyway.

It is a Myford ML7 with a quick change tool post and a couple of other odds and ends, I am hoping it will make a good start point for what I want to do. I was looking at the Mini-miller attachment (Rodney I think) that you can buy but will probably do as you do and add a vertical slide for the small bits of milling I need to do.

I hope to pick it up next week so will post some pictures then.

What sort of milling spindle attachment do you use?

I use one from Arrand engineering
http://www.millhillsupplies.co.uk/catal ... e16&17.pdf
They have allot of good quality equipment for fine turning and milling.
I have used this allot for cutting clock gears very nice when I get it right but very annoying when it goes wrong!
