Afternoon All :)

I was wondering if anyone has advice for some Gallery Rifles please?

Shooting .22LR indoors is all well and good but it would be nice to shoot something bigger without going down the lever action cowboy rifle route or LBP/LBR.

I'm not knocking the cowboy shooting or Long Barrel Hand Guns but I fancied something a bit different.

As I see if there are only the following options available:

1 - Southern Gun Company lever release rifles which seem rather pricey. Good but pricey and have heard horror stories from their customer support.
2 - Armalon bolt action pistol calibre rifles.
3 - Ruger make a bolt action in .357 or .44
4 - Muzzleloaders - not really interested unless nitro.

Any advice or suggestions / experiences appreciated :)

5 - M1 carbines (calibre: .30M1).

You can use reduced loads for .30M1 using lead bullets and since it's straight pull you don't need to worry about not having enough gas to cycle the gas system like the American's.

.357 nitro breech loading revolver. You load the cylinder itself, not via the barrel. No long barrel or coat hanger stock to get in the way.

I've used a Ruger bolt action in .357, it's quite a sweetie and is now on my wanted list ;-)

I have an Armalon bolt action in 45ACP which I can thoroughly recommend it. Very well made and great fun to use. While mine is 45ACP I've seen them in 9mm as well, although they're pretty rare and as far as I know they've no plans to make any more.

I'm putting in the variation for one of these myself. The examples on gunstar look pretty nice


Already mentioned but the Ruger 77 (mine is in .44) is a great rifle, can't say enough for it.

Repro De Lisle Carbine would get my vote (tad pricey though )

I have a westlake alpha - love it (although it is a 38, DO NOT LOAD IT TO 357 SPECS!!!!)
