I'm in the same boat. (Who let you in? Was it Doug? I bet it was Doug).
Personally I'm thinking of trying one of these... it says it's for a No1. I'm going to do a bit of research.

As in the other thread, just be aware that the charger bridge is riveted onto the No1 action, and is quite often crooked. The S&K mounts sometimes do not lock into the charger slot without some shimming/bodging to prevent the rail tilting to one side or the other, or pointing left/right.
They made 4+ million SMLEs, but they're all individuals...
