Thinking this through I think I know the answer but.....

If I have a moderator on my ticket can someone else borrow it under the "shooting clubs waiver" or the "Estate Rule" as they can for rifles?

There aren't any silly footnote like LBPs are there?

That would be LBP's and High Cap shotguns!

I think that's safely a grey area. Thanks for pointing it out. I can think of anything that would actively stop you under either provision.

I think you may need to add a bit more detail to the question sysreq. Are we talking about a moderator conditioned for range use and used on the range?
The estate rifle exemption isn't as simple and clear cut as many people think.

I will try and clarify :)

If I am shooting at a club, I believe that someone else can borrow my rifle and shoot it which would be covered under "Guide on Firearms Licensing Law"
April 2016 section 18.3:

Members of a rifle club, miniature rifle club or muzzle-loading pistol club approved by the
Secretary of State or the Scottish Ministers may, without holding firearm certificates, have
in their possession firearms and ammunition when engaged as members of the club in, or
in connection with, target shooting (section 15(1) of the 1988 Act as amended by section
45 of the 1997 Act).

If I have a moderator on my Firearms certificate, can I lend the moderator on its own to someone in the same situation as although it takes up a slot, it isn't a firearm or ammunition?

A sound moderator is classed as a firearm in its own right. In the club situation outlined I'd personally feel happy to lend a moderator to another shooter. As ever your FEO's opinion is the one you should be seeking.
