My new press.

I have always been a fan of the Huntington Decker Hand Press. I keep mine up in Scotland and do miss it when down south. Huntington had stopped making the press so when I saw that Buchanan Precision Machine was making an updated version of this fine press I immediately signed up for one.

The press is 10" high by 4 1/2" wide with the ram up and 22" across with the ram down, it weighs in at a touch under 3lbs and has a ram travel of 3 3/4".

The run was limited to 25 and mine is number 3.

Plenty of leverage and it full length resizes .303" cases like a knife through butter, has a nifty little primer catcher too and takes standard dies and shellholders.

It comes well packaged in its own foam lined cardboard box for storage along with comprehensive instructions for use and maintenance.

Very neat. I wish I had known about these before I went down the arbor press route for a portable system.

The first 25 were done as a one off but because of the success Randy (who calls their bairn Randy?) is looking to make it a stock item. Allbeit costing a bit more.

Off topic, but I've worked with a few 'Randy's over the years. One that made me laugh the most was in my previous work place. He was called Randy Nunn. Nice press by the way.
