Hi all advise needed.

Bought Large rifle Federal primers today, on putting them away at home noticed the box that I had bought as Large Rifle were in fact Large Magnum Rifle primers. Question is what is the difference between them, (apart from the word Magnum) and they were intended to be used in my Mauser k98 7.92 and a CZ 22/250 will this be still OK......or should I change them?....

Magnum primers are hotter - so maybe worth half a grain of powder - depending on the cartridge of course.

I'd swap 'em, as it means more load development, if you are an accuracy nut.

Accuracy nuts will generally go for a 'cool' primer (6PPC benchresters always use Federal) as it has less 'influence' on your load.
