Very nice, looks more at starting to get new stuff in. I'll be watching and waiting on the development. Kudos for having a 308 option too (243 option might even appeal to some, but horses for courses).

Ironically still cheaper than the SGC 223, plus don't people nearly pay £3000 for those Patriot Ordnance straight pulls in 308? Anyway it's one more thing on the market, hopefully other's will come.

XCR might be more fun, I've looked and it's genius, the gun already comes with a bolt release on either side that can work as a lever release and they had to engineer them to not be easily converted to semi, it's genius, it really is. I'm seeing a pattern with Gas piston design's being used for these systems also.

reading into the reviews on them, they seem to beat the ar-15 ! controls, compact, folding stocks etc
the US SOCOM had the FAL ones for a while which is the same as the xcr

hopfully the cost wont exceed £2800 which Lodock gear is saying they are going for. Release date is in a couple months time

Have they got it signed off by the Home Orifice yet?

And does anyone know the rough location for Lodock Gear?

To the first, possibly if they have a demo gun, the criteria to pass is to be not easily converted to semi or full, it passes that, it passes and I suspect most RFD's/importers worth their salt know this and will work to make sure it stays a manual opp.

Quite a few with specialist stock don't put their locations on, Caledonian Classic arms doesn't (then again, I always get the impression from the address that's a place you could get lost trying to find it, even with the wonders of modern technology lol ). I'd just call up if you wanted to talk face to to face.

One thing I wonder about them is they appear to have a standard AR type mag release, being a lefty does this make an ambi mag release possible to install?

This rifle uses a long stroke ak type gas system ! Most modern rifles use a short stroke gas system
