I suspect this forms the bulk of the problem - with a lot of hand-wringing fluff over cap guns and air pistols thrown in on top.

Just one more nail in the coffin, Chuck. These cases all get recorded as if they were firearms, and the antis must be rubbing their hands together with happiness when they hear about all the "children" playing with "guns".

The reporting will never change - except for the worst - so we can only hope that it doesn't lead to any more unnecessary legislation against us.

With government mouthpieces posing as charities what chance do we have.

Always find it strange how easily these people can set up a charity - not exactly something you can buy OFF THE SHELF for £15.00!

In August 1999 my life changed dramatically through the death of my son, who was shot in Hulme, Manchester. Dorrie was a vibrant lad with a caring heart and an undying loyalty to his friends. In fact, his death really opened my eyes to how much he was loved by the people around him. One of his friends told me: “He cared more for me than my dad ever did”.

With so many caring sharing youngsters around, it makes you wonder where all the bloody villains come from, dunnit.
