#7 – Try to buy a used firearm a customer is trying to sell to the gun shop ....
Well actually, a few years ago I walked into my regular gun shop to see a customer holding a Marlin 1895 SBL 45-70 Gov. The exact rifle I had been looking for... I stood there thinking "bloody hell, these are rare, the shop had one in stock and I've missed it now"... well it turned out that the customer was trying to trade-in the rifle for something else but the shop wouldn't give the guy the price he wanted. I overheard the price that the guy wanted and what the shop offered........ so I took the shop owner to one side and said, "if you give him what he is asking, I will pay you your asking price".... So the original owner was happy to get a new rifle, the shop was happy with the deal....... and I was very happy to get another Marlin 45-70 Gov. (I had sold one years before and always regretted it).
