As I haven't had the "whoomp whoomp whoomp" of a large black helicopter above my house I don't think there's a problem......probably on a watch-list over the packages and parcels I've received from Russia and the Ukraine though!

As long as you haven't got a suspicious looking ariel on your roof and you don't take regular Scottish walking holidays in Faslane, you should be OK comrade.

Would be of more help if they matched details of CRIMINALS with access to firearms, starting in BELGIUM, which seems to be the root of the problem!
A feel good announcement that just diverts resources away from where they are needed! IMO. Law abiding gun owners are NOT the problem!

If you are a law abiding gun owner then you don't have anything to worry about.

I think (and I'm sure some Police types will be able to clarify) that your vehicle details on the PNC are linked to your name (obviously) so when they do a check it comes up with a flag for firearms. This is based on what happened to a friend of mine - he got stopped for a random breath test and the office in the car knew that he was an FAC holder.

The police are automatically notified if you apply for membership of a Home Office approved club, so it doesn't surprise me.
I think we are all on a helluva lot more lists and databases than we realise, so what's one more in the great scheme of things!

Never mind Guns...
I phoned the Dyson Help line yesterday about my handheld Vacuum Cleaner not working, NOW! I never registered it with Dyson yet, the guy knew my name address and serial number of the bloody thing as soon as I phoned.
Good service though, sent me a new motor FOC, five minutes to fix myself.
