A question for you.
I have just acquired a couple of new bang sticks in .308 and .222. I know that you are required to let the plod know within 7 days.
Is it OK to email them with the correct forms as attachments or do you have to post them.

Forms? Forms??
We don't need no stinking forms!
More Durham Narnia confetti from the sounds of it.
I just e-mail the make model serial no, name of seller, etc.
The e-mail option also leaves you with free proof that you sent notice.

Gloucestershire seems to accept emails but always ask for delivery and read receipts on the email. I usually print off the email sign and date it and then send it recorded delivery to be doubly safe.

I'm with Surrey and they are happy with you just sending them an email containing all the relevant details. I've done this for the last three guns and haven't had a problem yet.
But then Surrey are actually very good...

Makes zero sense....in that case just write to them....
Telling them twice may make their bwainz hurt

Ignore the forms bit I'm thinking of a 1 for 1 variation.
This is not a 1 for 1. I just bought the rifles from a dealer friend of mine. I guess Ill just try emailing them and see what happens.

The Met are excellent. I just email them with the make, model, serial, calibre and I get an automated response saying "If you are notifying us of an acquisition or disposal of weapon/s please accept this as an acknowledgement of receipt. "
I usually post in my FAC every two or three changes just to get the handwritten parts typed up - even though transcription is not a strength of theirs... occasionally need to resend when things go awry :-)

Durham accept emails and send one right back at ya to say they received a communication so you are time stamped.
