HELP NEEDED IPOD

Hi
HELP NEEDED FROM SOMEONE THAT KNOWS HOW TO SET UP A ipod touch 4th generation 8gb
FROM START THE ONLY THING I AM GETTING WHEN TURNING IT ONE IS A ITUNES SIMBLE AND A POWER LEAD AND THATS IT
WHAT DO I DO NEXT

Probably need to connect to pooter, create iTunes a/c and allow to charge etc. The Apple support site is excellent if that doesn't work.

As i said i am no tecki how do i charge it when it only come with a computer lead and no plug

It'll charge from the USB lead plugged into the computer mate!

The lead will plug into a USB port on your computer, tturn the computer on and plug the phone to the cable and computer at the other end, this should charge it albeit quite slowly. Once it is plugged in wait 25 minutes and try turning the boing on again.
If the computer is running Windows 7 you may need to download and install iTunes first to get the drivers

As i have said please talk me through it as if you have just bought it and taken it out of the wrapper

I have just plunged it into my computer and it is showing as i have said above.
A tune size and a cable on screen is that right. it will not let me do anything else

Andy,
I just went through the same thing.
You need to have your computer connected to the internet.
Plug the wide end of the cable into the ipod.
Plug the narrow end into your computers USB port.
The ipod will now attempt to download the latest version of itunes, it will take some time depending on your connection.
Use your existing or create a new itunes account.
Download the content of your choice...I have skype, 4 seasons of Black Adder and the season of Justified from FX on my 4th gen 32gb ipod touch.

Is the Ipod Hot?
In laymans terms......is it stolen?
if so find a bin wipe off your fingerprints and place said Ipod in bin,,,,OR,,,,,,,tie it to a rock and sling it in the deepest piece of water you can find in your area,,,,and tell no one!!
Then go to a reputable shop and buy a new one complete with charger and instructions.... :lol:
