I currently load a 240gr bullet over 5.6gr of bullseye as my plinking load, nice and accurate, not too hard on the shoulder but you still know you pulled the trigger.
I ordered some bullets off Mr Roger, but these seem to be more like 255gr. but I can't see very much data using bullseye, apart from a few posts talking about using 240gr data, reducing by 10% for max.
Am I in any danger loading these up with 5.6gr of bullseye as a starting point to assess them?

I wouldn't have a problem with that.

My Ideal manual No 38 quotes 4.9gr of Bullseye as a maximum for 44 special loads so I reckon you could push your loads a bit further, however my preference is for a slightly slower burning powder.

thanks Rog, am I right to assume that is with your 255gr bullet?
you know how it is, you find some combination, and like how it works, so want to try to keep that if possible, or at least to use as a starting point for fine tuning.

i dislike unique, I find it meters inconsistently for lower weights, and that is never a good thing. bullseye seems to be quite reliable throw to throw
