What does ZF stand for on 'scopes?

#1 Post by ovenpaa »

I often see the 'ZF' used in conjunction with German 'scopes and I have a 'ZFM' on my SSG69 P1 however I have no idea what ZF stands for, can anyone enlighten me please?

Don't know for sure, but could it be an abbreviation of "ZielFernrohr"
