Using a Mil-Dot Scope Reticule...

#1 Post by TattooedGun »

Since I wrote about understanding Millirads yesterday, I wanted to touch on using Mil-Dot scopes as the two of them are intertwined.

http://blog.stegough.com/understanding- ... -reticule/

I give a, hopefully, easy to understand account of how to use a Mil-Dot scope accurately and effectively to judge range to target and also how to use them for hold-over.

I expect a lot of you to know this information, but it may be useful to more traditional shooters or folks just getting into the sport.

Hope it helps :)

Just watched a professional-looking You Tube vid. on the top ten spotting scopes.

The voice-over called it a 'rectile' (sounds a bit anal...) and referred to a Leupold as a LEOpold (I think Leopold was an Austrian prince....

Let me guess, American? One of my favourite YT channels is Iraqveteran8888 but some of the pronunciations of European companies/products is hilarious! Fiocchi springs to mind with him pronouncing it "Fee-oh-chee" lol
