The Zero Range at Bisley

All,
I am in the process of booking my first full bore shoot down at Bisley using a hired 7.62 f-class rifle. Now obviously when I pick this rifle up it will have an unknown zero on the scope so I know that I will need to head down to the zero range and sort the zero out before heading to century.
During the five day course I attended with the NRA they talked about the zero range but we didn't actually do any of the rifle zeroing (a miss on their part imo as its so important) although I know what should be done in principle.
Could anyone talk me though the correct process? i.e. i know I will need to buy a zero target sheet but do I just wonder on the range and stick it to the back board (using a plum line)? Also how am I meant to do this "sticking" if people are using the range combined with the fact you have to lie prone to see the rear of said range.
