rifle bag and bergen

Hi does anyone here use a Bergen while carrying there rifle in a aim like bag.if so how do yous secure the two together so you can walk with your hands free.thanks

I don't do it myself, but the backpacks that come with a rifle case built into them have the rifle closest to your back and the pack on the outside. So could you put the rifle bag on first then with the bergen straps set very loose put it over the rifle bag?

Short tie down straps....
Two feet or so long , inch wide, with a friction buckle.
The pack should have ancillary attachment points for such purposes
