Need a mod for my Tikka CTR coz its offensively loud and I wouldn't mind brining the recoil down a bit any suggestions or recommendations guys about £250, .308 and mainly used for range work.
I Quite like the Wildcat Evo good reviews on You tube and the like, also looking at the Tier One (third eye tactical) Spartan but I can't seem to find much in the way of reviews and independent info.

Have a look for MaccTecc or OLC as good alternatives.

Tier One Spartan. Got two. Bloody brilliant. Great workmanship, great sound reduction. Not much more to say really....

I have a predator 8 wildcat and a tier one spartan 3.

The wildcat seems to create a high pitch whistle whereas the tier one makes it a dull thud.

I prefer the Tier One of the 2, the fact it can be changed depending on the use, end of barrel or over barrel is a big plus as I'm a tinkerer and like to mess with things like that.

The Whisper is still a good mod, and shooting it on Sunday sold that type to the guy I was next to... but my money would go on the T1.

Living in the UK can't be all bad.

The Aussies aren't allowed Ruger 10/22s so we have some small benefits to our system as it stands at the moment.

When I lived in the UK you needed a variation on the firearm certificate to have one. Now it seems you almost have to have one regardless :)

I don't know why they are illegal here, not that it really matters, there is hardly ever anyone around to hear the shot anyway.

You still need a slot on your ticket of one over here.

I think it's easy to get one though, or am I mistaken ?

Wherever you live you will find daft laws.

Explosive, on a side note I was reading the other day that in the US there is a bill about to go through Congress to remove the ATF licence fee and all the other crap Americans have to go through to acquire a moderator. Seems that if the bill passes, and they think that it will, then it will simply be a case of buying a mod through an FFL.
