Today's project

So I had a spare hour or two this afternoon & sat contemplating how best to fill my time... I noticed the wife had left her nail varnish out on the side & it got me thinking! No not like that, but I've been meaning to colour fill my M&P 15-22 for some time but never got round to it.
So I got her out the cabinet & started the process. First was a light clean & a raid of the wife's wardrobe in search of the colours I needed. Next I broke the upper & lower in half & set to filling in the areas with the nail polish.
Below are the final results >
A full view of her finished:

Close up showing the magazines:

I tried to find the closest colour I could to FDE, it isn't easy! But I'm happy it's close enough:

I was hesitant colouring the Magpul writing on the grips etc but did it anyway & I'm pleased I did:

The magazines:

Other side of the lower, with the 'Fire' coloured red over a white base coat so it stood out:

The MOE writing in the stock:

Some other views:

MBUS pop up sights... Got carried away at this point but couldn't stop myself:

So all in all a few hours filled up & a job well done I think. Obviously not everyone's cup of tea but thought I'd share regardless.
