A question for Christel

Christel I know you work alongside ovenpaa its a partnership thing. You must a lot of the time be watching him making shiny things etc. Are you not tempted to have a go. Have you not been tempted to chuck some thing up on the lathe/mill and attempt to turn it into something shiny yourself.
Just curious. I have you tagged as a pretty can do person just wondered if you ever felt the urge to have a go.

Ah, I do operate the lathe from time to time, mainly stopping it when it is done if Ovenpaa is on the phone :D

The mill as well, I have used the mill a lot more than the lathe.

I do know how both operate and have learnt a lot over the years we have been doing this, cutters, inserts, spiders, tool holders, collets, they were all foreign words to me when we started. Oh yes and those bloody (his words) parallels.

However it is a monkey see, monkey do approach. I simply do not have the machine talent that Ovenpaa has.
I know I am biased however I look at what he can do and I am ever so impressed.

Yes, I would love to take a couple of weeks out of the calendar and have him teach me how to make things, the question is when O:-)

We have always said that we do not know how people working on their own do it, with the accounts, invoicing, machining, shipping, ordering, answering the phone, emails, as I have more than enough on my plate I am happy to leave the machining to Ovenpaa who actually knows what he is doing ;)
