Hi everyone I received my Ase Utra SL5 moderator today and the adapter that is screwed into it has a big nut on it and the nut corners are all marked and flattened as if the spanner has slipped, I contacted the distributor and was told "they are all like that that's how they come from the factory and they aren't an ornament they are to be used" and "when they are torqued up the socket doesn't fit properly and they all end up like that as they have to be torqued to 100nm and the socket slips" well I'm not happy as I have paid £250 hard earned pounds for it and would have expected it to be as new not as I have recieved it. I have emailed Ase Utra but no reply as yet and still waiting for further correspondence from the distributor. Has anyone else got one of these SL5's and is the nut like mine please ?

if the socket can slip, it is either the wrong size they are using, or the nut is too soft

If socket doesnt fit properly it is WRONG size socket...OR you need special made tool, simples. lol 100Nm is not a big deal-oil sump plug on lorry has the same torque value.Tell them "snap on" or "mac" man has all the right stuff...what a bunch of wallop b*****s...Send it back and forget this people, trust me-I am the mechanic O:-)

either that, or they aren't making the nut with equal sides. Are the measurements AF the same for each parallel face?

special made tool would still boil down to wrong size socket.

Mine's a JetZ Compact

Screams quality. Someone's taking the p***....the bushings can be changed by Jackson Rifles; I'd suggest a reminder of the Sale of Goods Act & mail it back to them for repair/exchange.
Sent mine back this year for a different bushing. Excellent folk to deal with....so not sure what's happened with yours?

First they said they fitted the adapted into the mod now they are saying they all come from the factory like this and are "not for ornamental use but to be used" but I said I am paying for a brand new product and it should come as new not rounded by an ill fitting socket I think it's terrible
